Raised off the ground on healing granite
Our treatment room at 2a Thomas Street is called Healed & Raised in Porthleven because it is raised off the ground on healing granite. We bring the spirit of “The Healing Field” at Glastonbury Festival to a magical building in Porthleven, for “The Feeling Healed”.
The high ceilings allow higher forms of healing and raised vibrations. In this gem of a wellbeing space you can book massage, facials, reflexology and Reiki knowing you will have luxury comforts, organic Neal's Yard Remedies oils and total cosy warmth, with a heated couch and the room made toasty and warm before you arrive.
We are open every day, with free parking and seconds from the beach and harbour. Afterwards, enjoy quiet time minutes from the sea, the harbour and the coast path.
Your therapist is Sue Evans
Sue is a Reiki Master and a pregnancy yoga teacher, trained by Shiatsu specialist Suzanne Yates. You can tailor any treatment to how you feel on the day, and mix them too: half an hour of massage with half an hour of Reiki, a facial or reflexology in a 60 minute booking is fine, because this is your time.

How a visit works
Book in advance
Secure your appointment online so your treatment space can be prepared just for you. If you can’t find the day and time you want, get in touch: it may still be possible to find an ideal time for you, family and friends.
Sue calls you
Once you’ve booked, Sue will call you, then meet you and guide you in to your own treatment space, centrally placed and a short walk from West Cornwall’s coastline.
Warm and ready
The room is made toasty before you arrive, with the couch heated and hot water bottles waiting. Tailor the treatment on the day, avoiding areas or concentrating on melting tension spots away.

Every treatment is on a warm couch with luxury products, and every one can be shaped around how you feel when you arrive. Book any of them online, seven days a week.
Massage
A luxurious treatment using Neal's Yard Remedies natural and organic oils. Techniques may include Swedish, deep tissue, Indian head massage, facial massage, acupressure, Shiatsu, lymphatic drainage, Thai foot massage and Thai table stretches (known as Lazy Man's Yoga), as Sue instinctively knows what you need. Thirty minutes suits a back, neck and shoulder massage, or tired legs and feet after the coast path; two hours is the ultimate getaway.
Indian head massage can be on an ergonomic massage chair over clothes, or lying on the warm couch with oil and a hair treatment. Please phone in advance if you prefer the chair.

Hot & cold stones
Incredibly smooth stones from the Arizona desert, warmed and gliding over you with warm oil, alternated with cooling marble stones. Stones are placed on the body and you lie on them too, and you hold them in your hands. Jade and rose quartz gua sha tools work over the face with small hot and cold marble stones, and yes, there are cosy toe stones and crystal placements.
An hour is the time to really experience it, and a 90 minute version is there if you can’t decide.

Reflexology
Lie on a warm couch with an eye mask and music while Sue works on your feet, with Thai foot massage worked in. Thirty minutes is a great introduction to your feet. The 90 minute session starts with a salt foot soak and an Indian head massage while you bathe your tootsies, and the two hour session adds a leg massage with warm oils and luxury creams, for that walking on air feeling.
Combine reflexology with a facial or massage, or receive Reiki while it is given.

Reiki
The universal life force energy is channelled through a Reiki Master to you, on an emotional, physical and spiritual level. You stay fully clothed and drift off into a meditative state as you receive the energy healing. Hands are sometimes placed on you; you may feel hot or cold areas, or see colours. It can be relaxing or energising.
Ask Sue to give you Reiki during any of your other treatments too.

Two ranges, the same care: gua sha contouring tools of warming rose and cooling jade, a neck, shoulder and Indian head massage, warm mitts, and a heated pillow and couch.
Elemis Facial
A glowing complexion with marine miracle products. The 60 minute facial adds facial massage, facial reflexology and SPF 30 protection, with Elemis, Temple Spa and Neal's Yard Remedies. The 90 minute facial cleanses, tones, massages and moisturises, with a CBD mask, a Neal's Yard Remedies hair treatment and lymphatic drainage massage.

A pregnancy yoga teacher places you in the recovery position with bolsters to keep your hips in line, for a deep muscle relaxation side-lying massage with Neal's Yard Remedies products. Calm Birth Couples Workshop
Two hours for you and your birth partner: birth meditations, birth breathwork, yoga moves for pregnancy and birth, birth holds, massage for labour and bonding, and renowned Spinning Babies knowledge. Bring your birth ball. Taught by a therapist who used to run four pregnancy yoga classes a week and was trained by Shiatsu specialist Suzanne Yates.

“I can’t recommend Sue enough”
I can’t recommend Sue enough. I was in Porthleven visiting family, and after a hectic couple months, decided to treat myself to a massage. From the very start Sue was great with communication, and on the morning of the treatment, calmly guided me into her studio. I felt completely at ease, and we discussed what I felt I needed from the session. The space was spotless and inviting with warm, soft lighting, aromatic essential oils, and soothing, gentle music, which was the perfect escape from the grey drizzly morning outside - Very hyggeligt!
The treatment itself was absolute heaven! I could feel the weight of stress my body had been carrying melt away, and felt able to sink deeper and deeper into a state of real relaxation. Sue has amazing skill and intuition with what she does, and as well as working on the entire body, took the time to focus on specific areas carrying more tension. I really appreciated her tailored approach, and all the good intentions and energy she put into the treatment were felt and appreciated. I left feeling infinitely better than I when I arrived, and floated around the cool, mizzly harbour for the rest of the morning which was a delight. Thanks again for a wonderful experience, Sue! I’m looking forward to my next visit to Porthleven so I can book in again!

Had a great treatment with Sue however, it was the commitment to prep beforehand that impressed me. Sue ensured the room was warm and hot water bottles all ready and waiting, together with a wonderfully heated couch . It’s so much more beneficial to have a massage on warm muscles and an enjoyable experience often overlooked. She even put my socks on the heater to warm for when she’d finished by this time I felt really cosseted.
